What is the real steel MCX SPEAR LT?

The MCX-SPEAR LT is the latest model in SIG Sauer's third-generation MCX platform, an evolution of the company's MCX Virtus series, introduced in 2022. "LT" stands for "Lightweight," and its design emphasizes weight reduction and operability. Compared to previous models, the barrel and handguard have been redesigned to improve front-to-rear weight balance and handling. The large integrated top rail expands the freedom of mounting scopes and red dot sights.

While maintaining the high reliability of gas piston operation, it is fully equipped with modern AR features such as ambidextrous bolt release and selector, and compatibility with AR-15 triggers. The highly rigid receiver design, designed with military specifications in mind, and the dedicated three-prong muzzle device make it fully compatible with suppressors. In addition to 5.56mm NATO, it is also available in 7.62x39mm and .300 Blackout versions, offering a wide range of options for various uses.

The SPEAR LT is a model that optimizes the next-generation rifle technology cultivated in the company's XM7 (MCX-SPEAR) for civilian use, offering high practicality and maintainability for competition, defense, and law enforcement agencies. While the body is made of resin (polymer reinforced with nylon fiber), the main parts are made of metal, ensuring sufficient accuracy and strength.
