Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation 7-½ inch "R-model" HW MODEL GUN

The new model gun of the "Colt Single Action Army (SAA)," which we previously announced, is finally here as the official "R-model" model gun.

This product takes the previous model gun as a base and incorporates the functions of our popular Pegasus 2 series SAA gas gun! In improving upon the old model, we incorporated the insights of active fast-draw shooters, reflecting the results of testing for stress, wear, and operation feel in real-world use, and revised the specifications of various parts.

Born in 1873, the "Colt Single Action Army (SAA)" is a famous gun known as the revolver that symbolizes the Wild West era, affectionately nicknamed the "Peacemaker." Despite several production interruptions and specification changes, its basic structure has been passed down without significant alteration, and it remains highly popular to this day.

The models produced from 1956 to 1974, following a production hiatus caused by World War II, are called the Second Generation. Compared to the First Generation, differences can be seen in the base pin fixing method and the shape of the ejector rod head. SAA models from this era were frequently used in post-war Westerns, gaining widespread recognition through film and television and leaving a strong impression in Japan as well.

This new product, the "Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation 'R-model' Model Gun," is an improved version that significantly revises the internal structure of the previously released Second Generation model. While maintaining the exterior reproducibility and handling feel cultivated in the conventional model, it is designed with a focus on improving operability and durability with firing in mind. By strengthening the cylinder area and lock work, as well as optimizing the operational balance, we have aimed for stable operation and improved reliability. In designing it, in addition to the feedback gained from the Pegasus 2 series, we also reflected the knowledge of a legendary active fast-draw shooter. We reviewed each part based on the validation of stress, wear, and operation feel based on real use.

Furthermore, by newly designing a hammer exclusively for this model gun, we have achieved the correct hammer-down position. Through these accumulated improvements, the specifications prioritize the ability to "actually use and enjoy" the gun, rather than just mere reproduction. Additionally, the inclusion of W-cap projectile tips allows for the selective use of single or double caps, accommodating different ways of enjoying the product. A spring for dry firing is also included as standard equipment, allowing you to practice handling while reducing the burden on the main body. The cartridges have been changed to all-brass construction, achieving both texture and durability, and an O-ring has been added to prevent seizing. The exterior follows the specific details of the Second Generation, maintaining a classical atmosphere. This model achieves a balance between exterior reproducibility and internal practicality.
