Product Description

Re-released after 3 years and 8 months!

The next generation after the matchlock was the flintlock. The era of the flintlock lasted for over 100 years, mainly in the 18th century, until the appearance of the percussion rifle. The model was a .67-caliber smoothbore flintlock pistol donated to West Point in 1953, custom-made in the 1770s with the signature of President George Washington.

It is made entirely of metal, including the outer barrel. The stamp indicates that it was made by HAWKINS in London. All metal parts are classic steel plated.

It has the inscription of George Washington and the grip end is shaped like a hammer.

Left side of the gearbox. Three gears cock the piston. Power is 0.43 joules.

Same on the right side. Assembly is not possible without special tools. Do not disassemble .

How to operate

The stick is the magazine. Press it down and twist it to the left to remove it, and then insert the BB bullets from here. It holds up to 12 rounds.

There are two operations for firing: 1. Cock the hammer to retract the internal piston. Half-cocking is not possible.

② Return the fallen strike plate to this position. At this time, the gear separates from the piston, the cylinder moves forward, and the nozzle sends the BB bullet into the chamber, ready to fire.

There is an M4 hop screw in the hole on the barrel. Turn it clockwise with an Allen wrench to increase the hop, and counterclockwise to decrease it.

When the trigger is pulled, the piston moves forward and the hammer drops.

Immediately after the BB bullet is fired, the hammer strikes the striker, causing it to bounce up.

Safety: The instruction manual for this gun mentions a safety, but models with a safety are for overseas markets. For antique guns, ASGK exempts them from having a safety, so the Japanese version does not have one.

Disassembly/assembly method

① To disassemble, first remove the hammer. Then proceed in the order of the numbers.

② Use a punch to remove the two pins on the stock (short at the front, long at the back) and remove the magazine tube.

③ Lift the trigger guard and slide it forward to remove it, then remove the decorative plate.

④ Lift the outer barrel and remove it along with the gearbox from the stock.

⑤ Remove the outer barrel and inner barrel. The rubber gasket may remain in the chamber, but this is not a problem.

⑥ Remove the four screws that secure the gearbox, starting with the two long screws at the back. Next, remove the slightly shorter screw in the middle.

⑦ Finally, remove the short front screws by holding them with your hand as shown in the picture to prevent the springs (2 pieces) from popping out.

⑧ Right side of the gearbox. When assembling, make sure the trigger spring is under tension as shown in the photo.

9. Gear arrangement on the left side (bottom) of the gearbox. When assembling, align it with the top in this state and tighten the two screws at the rear.

⑩ The strike plate is not related to the previous disassembly. When assembling, the strike plate should be raised as shown in the photo.

⑪The most difficult part of assembly is the two recoil springs (of the same size). Commercially available tweezers (1mm thick) are ideal for assembly.

⑫ Put the bottom part in first. When putting the top part in, it is easier to use a hammer to push the piston back as shown in the picture.

⑬ After tightening the central screw (loosely tighten it at step ⑪), insert the inner barrel with chamber, tighten the front screw (photo) to complete the gearbox, and assemble in the order of ④ → ① → ② → ③ to complete. (Note: Tighten the front screw shown in the photo a little tightly, as the follower may get caught.)

Caution : If you cock the hammer when assembling only the gearbox before completing the assembly, the piston gear will be damaged.

※notice※

If the striker stops midway during firing for some reason (see photo), do not attempt to cock the hammer. In this case, tilt the striker forward. Once the hammer reaches its final position, the gear position will return to normal.

If the gear does not cock even when the hammer is cocked, close the striker while the hammer is fully cocked (it will be hard to do so, but do it all at once), then release the hammer in this state and knock it down against the striker, which will reset the gear to its normal position.

Do not tighten the screws on the decorative plate too much. The plate fits into the trigger guard and is fixed in place, so it is fine to just tighten the screws to a certain extent.

If the long magazine becomes easy to remove, tap this part with a punch or similar to tighten the lock.
