Until now, the series has consisted of three models, the M17 Coyote, M18 Coyote, and M18 Black, in order of release, but a new color, the M17 Black, has been added to the lineup.
The packaging features the SIG AIR logo, SIG SAUER's airsoft division, recreating the authentic look of an officially licensed product. Although it's not mentioned on the box or in the manual, the gun is manufactured by VFC in Taiwan, so the quality is impeccable.
It looks the same as the first M17 Coyote except for the color, but the engraving on the left side of the slide is slightly different. On the Coyote model, "M17" was stamped just behind "SIG SAUER," while on the Black model, "M17" is set back to a position just in front of the chamber.
Regarding the above, it seems that the only original military M17 pistol is the Coyote, and the P320 Black is a color that only exists for civilian use (i.e., it cannot be called an M17), so the difference between military and civilian specifications is expressed not only in color but also in the engraving. However, the frame and thumb safety are not civilian specifications but are the same as the military M17.
This series tends to have subtle differences in operation depending on the production lot, but the M17 Black maintains a stable initial velocity of around 90 m/s even at a magazine temperature of around 35°C, and there is no unintended gas leakage due to the hammer SP being too strong, as was seen in almost all M18 Blacks when they were released.
Overall, it's a product that I would recommend. I'm looking forward to the release of the P320X series in the future.
