Marushin Mateba Revolver 6-inch with Wooden Grips [New Packing] (New release around December 2025)

The "MATEBA" is a unique Italian revolver in which the magazine swings out from the top of the frame.

Marushin's "X Cartridge Gas Revolver," which features realistic brass cartridges that allow you to enjoy authentic operation, is back with a "new packing"!

This Matebar revolver M2007 is famous as the gun of Togusa, a character in the "Ghost in the Shell" manga/anime series. Its striking feature is its upward swing-out design. While most revolvers have a cylinder that swings downward to the side to load and eject shells, this model has an unusual design in which the cylinder swings 180 degrees upward directly above the frame.

The above design was conceived with the aim of "locating the barrel as low as possible" to reduce barrel jump when firing and improve accuracy. While a normal revolver fires a bullet located at the top of the cylinder, the Mateba revolver fires a bullet located at the bottom of the cylinder. A typical revolver has an underlug under the barrel, but in this model, the part that looks like an underlug is actually the barrel.

The actual gun was not a sales success due to its unusual handling, but many collectors are attracted to its unique design.

Marushin has taken this unusual model and made it into a gas gun. Because it has been recreated as a cartridge-type gas gun, which is Marushin's specialty, you can enjoy the unique movement of the Mateba in a realistic way.

The original Marushin Mateba featured an illustration of Togusa from the aforementioned Ghost in the Shell on its packaging, but today it uses the X cartridge, which has evolved significantly since then and is now more realistic, with a copper bullet head.

What's more, what was previously just one barrel length is now available in four lengths: 3, 4, 5, and 6 inches, each with a plastic or wooden grip variation (only the 3-inch has a wooden grip), and four different patterns based on the body material and finish, an astonishing expansion.

The lineup includes a black rubber-coated plug grip model and a beautiful wooden grip model. The body colors and materials include the classic "Matte Black ABS," the heavier "Black HW," the beautifully gleaming "Double Deep Black ABS" plated model, the "Silver ABS" model that replicates stainless steel, and the "Excellent Heavy Weight" model with a striking vintage feel.
