A few years after the US Department of Defense adopted the Beretta M92F as the "M9," the "Compact Combat Pistol" project was launched to select a new handgun to replace the .38 Special revolvers still in use. The P228 recorded incredible durability in the selection tests, exceeding the passing standard by more than three times, and was officially adopted as the "M11" in 1993 and deployed to various military forces.
There are two types of M11s, differing in their sights. The standard sights are used by the Air Force, while the tritium sights are used by the Army and Navy. The entire gun is coated with a rust-resistant baked-on coating, and it features a slim trigger that's easy to use even with gloves. Its simple and reliable construction eliminates the risk of accidental operation due to the slide safety found on the M9, and concerns about the durability of the locking block. For these reasons, the M11 is the choice of many professionals. Due to its high performance, the "M11A1," a model bearing the "M11" name, is sold in the civilian market, and although it differs from the actual military specification, it has become a widely recognized brand. Compact, highly accurate, and unbreakable, the M11 is a perfect weapon with everything you need and no issues.
This M11 model is finally here as an all-heavyweight, firing blowback model gun. (Note: The barrel is not made of heavyweight resin.) The sights are designed to mimic the tritium type (not luminous). The heavyweight resin slide, a distinctive feature of this model, features a rough blasting process, similar to the previous heavyweight frame model, to replicate the texture of the real gun's baked-on coating. Like the standard model, the recoil guide incorporates a built-in buffer system to cushion impacts. The frame is also equipped with an elastomer hammer stop to absorb the impact of a falling hammer. Furthermore, the decocking lever, slide catch lever, and other operating parts are reproduced in the same gray color as the real gun with Cerakote, and the engraving is from the 2011 model. Unlike the P229, the M11 is consistently made in Germany, with the slide bearing "Made in Germany" and the frame bearing a German-made proof mark. A Cerakote-coated aluminum UID plate is included, which can be attached wherever desired. It is compatible with 9mm para Evolution 2 cartridges.
