Gentle craftsmanship for all

At da Vinci, precision materials are machined using an NC automatic lathe, and then handcrafted by our artisans. The barrel is a component through which BBs pass, connects to the chamber on the outside, and contacts the muzzle cap at the tip. Even a small amount of burr can interfere with these components and cause unexpected errors. Damaged bullets impair their trajectory, and a misfit in the chamber can cause centering issues.
To ensure that these requirements are met, we use an NC deburring process followed by manual deburring by a craftsman. This ensures that the barrel is finished securely and safely.

The area where burrs appear on the inner barrel is circled below.

In particular, the "anti-rotation notches" on the side of the barrel, the flat surfaces of the HOP holes, and the corners are filed to remove any burrs. Some barrels may have file marks, but these are treated as genuine products as they do not affect the barrel's performance. *The inside edges are deburred, but no process that roughens the surface is added.

■Introduction to the actual burr direction and removal process <br>In our processing program, burrs ultimately occur "facing inward."
First, we remove these burrs using a file, but if the shape is angular, we will file along the corners and bottom surface, so scraping marks may remain.

■Our barrels are professionally polished.
Even if the burrs are not visible, they will remain if they are not removed.
So even if the gun looks nice, if for some reason the bullet doesn't pass through properly or doesn't fit into the chamber properly, burrs are still suspect. When it comes to the actual processing, the question remains: "What kind of skills does the person who is removing the burrs have?" Not just anyone will do it. At the artisan level, we gather members who are experts in modeling and have an airsoft gun hobby, and we emphasize that we don't let beginners do the work. Again, not just anyone will do it.
Even if you use the best materials and the best machines, the fact is that the work is done by hand by a beginner....we think that's "evil."
In the sense of betraying customer expectations. They are not genuine Marui products. They are not mass-produced. There are high expectations for each product, and we work with the understanding that customers are purchasing parts at prices almost as high as the gun itself.

■Finally, about the file marks that remain
At da Vinci, our concept is to "deliver quality products to our customers," so we remove all burrs and deliver safe products. Please understand that roughness may be visible in the notched areas. Conversely, products from other companies have no file marks at all. This may be because no post-processing was done in the first place. You may accidentally cut your hand on a burr, or the bullet may not go through in some places, or the chamber fixing block may not fit... We hope you will understand the file marks as a "badge of effort."
