Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation 5-½ inch "R-model" HW MODEL GUN

The new model gun of the "Colt Single Action Army (SAA)," which has been previously announced, is finally arriving as an official "R-model" model gun.　

This product is based on our previous model gun, incorporating functional feedback from our popular Pegasus 2 series SAA gas guns! In improving upon the older model, we incorporated insights from active fast-draw shooters, reflecting the verification results of load, wear, and operating feel during actual use to revise the specifications of each part.

Born in 1873, the "Colt Single Action Army (SAA)" is a legendary firearm known as the revolver that symbolized the American Old West and is affectionately known as the "Peacemaker." Despite several production interruptions and specification changes, its basic structure has been passed down largely unchanged, and it continues to maintain immense popularity to this day.　

The models produced between 1956 and 1974, following a production hiatus due to World War II, are known as the Second Generation. Compared to the First Generation, there are differences in the base pin fixing method and the shape of the ejector rod head. The SAA from this era was widely used in post-war Westerns, gaining widespread recognition through film and television and leaving a strong impression in Japan as well.　

This new "Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation 'R-model' Model Gun" is an improved version that significantly revises the internal structure of the previously released Second Generation model. While maintaining the exterior realism and handling feel cultivated by previous models, it is designed with a primary focus on improving operability and durability for firing. We have achieved more stable operation and increased reliability by reinforcing the cylinder area and lockwork, and by optimizing the operating balance. In our design, we incorporated not only the feedback gained from the Pegasus 2 series but also the expertise of legendary active fast-draw shooters. Every part was reviewed based on verification of load, wear, and operating feel derived from actual usage.　

Furthermore, by newly designing a model gun-exclusive hammer, we have achieved the correct hammer-down position. Through these accumulated improvements, the specification is oriented not just toward realism, but toward ensuring it is "fun to actually use." Additionally, the inclusion of W-cap cartridge heads allows users to choose between single and double caps, accommodating various ways to enjoy the product. A spring for dry firing is also included as standard equipment, allowing you to practice handling while reducing strain on the main unit. The cartridges have been changed to all-brass, offering both texture and durability, and an O-ring has been added as a countermeasure against sticking. The exterior follows the specific details of the Second Generation, maintaining a classical atmosphere. This model balances exterior reproduction with internal practicality.
