How to install the sear spring for the APS-1 Grand Master series

*This explanation uses a genuine sear spring and an "easy housing pin," but the method is the same for reinforced sear springs and genuine pins.

However, we recommend using the "easy housing pin" as it makes the work significantly easier.

1. Install the sear spring from the right side. Insert the sear spring into the "easy housing pin" in the direction shown in the photo, and then insert it into sear A.

2. After inserting the "easy housing pin," use tweezers to hook the tip of the spring onto the protrusion of the frame, then gently push the pin all the way in. The right side is now complete.
If using a genuine pin, the sear spring may fly out until the fore-end is attached. Please work with extreme caution or consider using the easy housing pin.

3. Insert the gold "sear A pin" into sear A from the left side.
The "sear A pin" has no resistance, so if you hold it with your finger from the opposite side, it will not fall out.

4. Insert the sear spring in the direction shown in the photo, and hook it behind the "sear A pin" with tweezers.
Finally, ensure that the sear spring is in the groove of the "sear A pin" (both left and right).

This completes the installation of the sear spring.
The protrusion of the "easy housing pin" prevents the right sear spring from flying out, allowing you to work with confidence when installing the left sear spring and during subsequent assembly.
