The general release date of the "B2i" infrared gun device series has been decided. Will it become a new sensation in the airsoft world?

B2i has announced the general release date of a revolutionary new device that can be easily attached to an airsoft gun to turn it into an infrared gun.

The release date was postponed from the original June 2021 date in order to improve the completeness of the app, but it was finally officially decided on August 28, 2021.

The series consists of three products: the "B2i STANDARD" infrared transmitter, which is attached to a gun with a 14mm reverse thread like a suppressor; the "B2i MAIN RECEIVER" infrared receiver, which is attached to the head such as a helmet; and the "B2i SUB RECEIVER," which extends the receiver to the left, right, rear, etc.

In addition, a dedicated carrying case that can store the entire device and battery will also be released at the same time.

When the gun is fired, the transmitter detects the air released from the muzzle and emits infrared light, which, when hit by a dedicated receiver in the direct line of fire, triggers a buzzer and an LED to light up.

It achieves straightness and speed that cannot be achieved with BB bullets, and has a range of 120m (on clear days), which is about three times that of BB bullets.

The accuracy of the reception detection is sufficient for use in survival games, and it will work reliably if you aim and shoot accurately. The fact that it can eliminate the ambiguity of hit detection is a major benefit, but it also brings out the true value of snipers, which previously could not fulfill their original role, and allows you to play the game with a new feel.

Furthermore, this series is equipped with built-in Bluetooth (Ver. 5.0), allowing it to be linked to a smartphone app. You can set the player's stamina so that if it reaches zero after a few hits, they will retire. You can also set the bullet power according to the gun used, creating a sense of tension similar to that of real combat.

By setting handicaps according to the game content and the player, beginners and experienced players can all enjoy playing at the same time.

For the time being, it will likely be mainly available for rental at airsoft fields, but there are certainly benefits to purchasing one if you want to carefully improve the accuracy of zeroing in optical equipment, or if you want to have fun with friends at a field that does not have a rental service.

When using a built-in battery for the transmitter, a small LiPo battery (BEC connector) for electric handguns is used. A standard mini-connector power cable (approximately 30cm) is also included, allowing for use with an external battery case attached to the handguard, etc.

When using a built-in LiPo battery, depending on the battery's cord thickness and length, it may take some effort to store. After testing, we found that the [OPTION No.1] GB-0021M or [G-FORCE] GFG991 are the most suitable for installation.

The manufacturer's suggested retail prices are 6,600 yen for the transmitter, 4,400 yen for the main receiver, 3,300 yen for the sub-receiver, and 1,800 yen for the carrying case (all prices include tax), which is very reasonable considering the features. Our store also offers discounts for the complete device set.
