The Colt Single Action Army (SAA), born in 1873, is a legendary revolver known as the "Peacemaker," symbolizing the Wild West era.

In 1999, Tanaka Works commercialized the SAA as the revolutionary "PEGASAS System" gas revolver, which was highly praised for its simple and realistic design that integrated the magazine and gas. In 2005, it was made available with a detachable cylinder, improving realism and ease of maintenance, and contributing to the development of sports such as cowboy shooting and fast draw.
However, the harsh stresses of competitive use revealed durability issues, and around 2018, a redesign was underway with the themes of "high durability, high realism, and practical performance." This resulted in the creation of the "PEGASAS II," which employs a new mechanism that directly strikes the valve with a base pin penetration structure. With a variable hop-up, an inner magazine system, a total capacity of 25 rounds including reserve rounds, and a reinforced and realistic internal structure, it is suitable for airsoft and competitive use. Parts compatibility with existing models has also been considered.

Based on the basic form of this classic SAA, we have created a variation model of the Pegasus 2 SAA that deliberately combines a stainless steel color and a non-fluted cylinder.
Originally, SAA was known for its fluted cylinder, but by making it non-fluted, the cylinder stands out more, giving it a more substantial and massive appearance. The cylinder, with its smooth outer circumference, emphasizes the simple structural beauty of SAA, and gives the appearance of a custom gun that reflects personal taste, or a practical item that has been modified over the years, rather than a mass-produced military gun.
Non-fluted cylinders are designed to withstand the high pressure of magnum bullets and other rounds, and are therefore not fluted for the purpose of reducing weight. This very design embodies strength and practicality.
Even among real guns, there are examples of non-fluted cylinders being produced for the 3rd generation Colt SAA, but when combined with a stainless steel color, it has an appearance reminiscent of the classic single-action revolver, the Sturm Ruger Vaquero, reinterpreted in modern times. CIMARRON, known for its SAA replicas, also offers a stainless steel model that emphasizes ease of maintenance, and rather than faithfully reproducing the historically accurate specifications, this model is finished in a way that evokes the story of a gun that reflects the owner's preferences, a custom that prioritizes aesthetics over practicality, or an SAA that has been tweaked over the years.
