Product Description

Western Arms products are gas guns made of high-density plastic, allowing you to enjoy the same realistic weight as a real firearm. The "Magna Blowback" mechanism, which controls the gun's core, allows you to experience powerful recoil shock similar to a real gun, providing a realistic and impactful shooting experience. It uses safe low-pressure gas to fire 6mm BBs in the same process as a real gun.

Beretta's Innovative Large-Caliber Handgun, the Cougar

Pietro Beretta, Europe's largest brand, is said to have a history of over 400 years as a firearms manufacturer.

Since the early 1900s, Beretta's semi-automatic pistols, up to the US military's official M92 (M9) series, have traditionally adopted a design with a large cutout in the upper part of the slide.

This unique design is believed to have the purpose of reducing slide weight and preventing ejection failures, which is an important factor in the structure of automatic pistols. However, the aesthetic sense of Italian design must have played a large part in the long-standing adherence to this design.

The prop-up locking block system of the M92 series, inspired by the Walther P38, was effective in maintaining accuracy due to its structure where the barrel moves horizontally during short-recoil operation. On the other hand, concerns were raised about the stress on the slide and design limitations.

Thus, the newly developed M8000 series adopted a rotating locking barrel system.
As its name suggests, the barrel rotates to unlock during short-recoil, allowing for a shorter slide length, which was a constraint in the M92 series, while maintaining accuracy.
At the same time, a significant increase in strength was also achieved, leading to the creation of Beretta's first .45 caliber model, the "M8045," commonly known as the Cougar.

Perfect Beretta designed from real gun blueprints

WA's M8045 Cougar had the invaluable opportunity to be provided with real gun blueprints from the original Pietro Beretta company for its design, and it has been modeled to pursue the utmost realism.

A clear example of this is the use of genuine Beretta grip panels, which further enhances the status of the WA Cougar's perfect reproducibility.

Like the WA Government series, the Cougar has been upgraded as a high-spec custom, and the built-in transfer hammer mechanism is a major attraction.

This allows for the realistic reproduction of the hammer-down profile and the feeling of returning the cocked hammer (decocking), creating a highly finished package that will impress even avid fans.

Condensed proven Magna mechanism

The double-column magazine for .45 caliber, following the high-capacity systems represented by the SV series, incorporates a large-capacity gas tank.

It is equipped with N.L.S (Non-Liquid System) to prevent liquefied gas leakage during firing, enabling stress-free shooting without raw gas blowing out during quick draws or when the gun is tilted.

Additionally, the enhanced, glamorous slide is equipped with a large-diameter piston with a long stroke, driving the high-density heavy-weight slide at high speed to achieve a heavy recoil shock with a solid feel that powerfully impacts the hand.

With a hefty weight approaching 1 kilogram and a ferocious presence that takes advantage of the texture of the carbon black heavy-weight material, this model is finished to provide a genuine feel that will make anyone who holds it doubt their eyes.

The realism reproduced with the cooperation of Pietro Beretta and the top-class operating performance of the Beretta series make it excellent to look at and shoot.
It boasts an all-around completeness that allows you to fully enjoy the true pleasure of WA Magna Blowback.
Experience the "WA-ism" of pursuing the reproduction of the real gun's feel in a toy gun with this M8045 Cougar.

Maintenance of Carbon Black Heavyweight Material

The surface treatment of Carbon Black Heavyweight models prioritizes a texture that highlights the material's feel, and no coating or other surface treatment is applied.
Therefore, unlike standard models (painted models), the alloy powder layer mixed into the material is exposed, which may lead to oxidation or discoloration over time or with frequent use.
After use, we recommend regular maintenance, such as wiping off surface dirt (like skin oil from hands) with separately sold silicone spray.
