The Mk25 Desert is a special edition P226 variant used by the U.S. Navy SEALs, and is a desert-colored model actually sold by SIG. It features a high-quality Cerakote finish that recreates the desert color. This model has been recreated as a firing model gun compatible with EVO2 cartridges. The finish is not the standard Cerakote used on the real gun, but rather the latest and strongest grade, Cerakote Elite, which delivers over 30% improved performance. Its abrasion resistance rivals Teflon, and its extremely high oil and chemical resistance protects the gun from gunpowder stains, which can rapidly oxidize materials. The US version engraving on the gun body differs from the standard model. The slide features an anchor mark indicating Navy specifications, and the breechblock pin is also exclusive. This special model also features numerous Mk25-specific parts, such as a Mil-Spec Picatinny rail and a dedicated decocking lever. The UID plate for identification is also exclusive to the Desert and is made of realistic aluminum with a Cerakote coating.
This gun is equipped with all the same reinforced features as the standard Mk25, including an elastomer hammer stop to absorb blowback shock, rust prevention treatment on key press parts, and wear prevention measures on the slide catch lever groove, so you can enjoy firing with peace of mind. This is a limited edition product.
