Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation 7-½ inch "R-model" HW MODEL GUN

The new model gun of the "Colt Single Action Army (SAA)," which we previously announced was in production, is finally officially released as an "R-model" model gun.　

This product is based on the old model gun and incorporates the functions of the popular Pegasus 2 Series SAA gas gun! In improving upon the old model, we incorporated the knowledge of active fast-draw shooters, and reflected the results of verifying load, wear, and operational feel during actual use, revising the specifications of each part.

Born in 1873, the "Colt Single Action Army (SAA)" is known as a revolver that symbolizes the Old West, and is a famous gun also affectionately known as the "Peacemaker." Despite several production interruptions and specification changes, its basic structure has been largely unchanged, maintaining high popularity to this day.　

After a production interruption due to World War II, models produced from 1956 to 1974 are called the Second Generation. Compared to the First Generation, differences can be seen in the method of fixing the base pin and the shape of the ejector rod head. SAAs from this era were widely used in post-war Western movies, gaining widespread recognition through film and television, and leaving a strong impression even in Japan.　

This new product, the "Colt Single Action Army 2nd Generation "R-model" Model Gun," is an improved model that significantly revises the internal structure based on the Second Generation model previously released. While maintaining the external reproducibility and operational feel cultivated in conventional models, it is designed with a primary focus on improving operational performance and durability for firing. By strengthening the cylinder area and lockwork, and optimizing the operational balance, stable operation and improved reliability have been achieved.　In the design, in addition to feedback obtained from the Pegasus 2 series, the knowledge of active legendary fast-draw shooters was also reflected. Each part was reviewed based on verification of load, wear, and operational feel during actual use.

In addition, by newly designing a model gun-specific hammer, the correct hammer-down position is achieved. Through the accumulation of these improvements, the specifications prioritize not just reproducibility, but also "enjoying the actual use."　Furthermore, the inclusion of W-cap bullets allows for the use of single/double caps, accommodating different ways of enjoying the product depending on the use case. Dry-firing springs are also standard equipment, allowing for practice without excessive strain on the main unit. The cartridges have been changed to all-brass, achieving both texture and durability. O-rings have been added as a countermeasure against sticking.　The exterior retains the classical atmosphere, inheriting the unique details of the Second Generation. It is a model that balances external reproducibility with internal practicality.　

Tanaka Works' SAA model guns, which have been continuously improved over many years, have entered a new stage with the "R-model." Please pick it up and experience its evolution as an SAA not just for display, but for the enjoyment of shooting.
