Product Description

This is a cavalry rifle (carbine) version of the Tanegashima, the first firearm ever manufactured in Japan. During the Warring States period, the appearance of firearms brought about a major change in tactics. When mounted warriors switched from traditional bows and arrows to firearms, it was only natural that they shortened the overall length to make them easier to swing, and guns called "bajotsutsu" (mounted guns) were manufactured in various places.

It is called a "horseback gun" because it is fired from horseback.

This is a carbine type of the one-of-a-kind toy gun "Tanegashima," which has been produced with realistic, high-quality results through KTW's thorough research. Its total length is 1,110mm compared to the Tanegashima's 1,323mm, and its weight is 1,920g compared to the Tanegashima's 2,200g.

Click here for the manufacturer's (KTW) "Majo-tsutsu" production report.

The muzzle is a 13mm (52 caliber) barrel, the size commonly used in actual combat, and the external mechanism with the exposed spring is also realistically reproduced. Lift the lever under the base to cock the gun, then raise the tongs and pull the trigger, and the tongs fall, releasing compressed air to fire BBs.

The BBs are loaded into the barrel's lower spool, and it can hold up to 53 rounds. It features a variable hop-up mechanism that allows you to adjust the trajectory, so you can enjoy shooting it as well as displaying it.

[Barrel and mechanism disassembly procedure]

(The photo shows the first batch of gold-plated parts.)

① Remove the cord-shaped inner magazine.

② Remove the pin (screw) from the center ring.
(When assembling, insert the pin from the left side as shown here.)

③ By removing the center ring, the barrel and mechanism can be removed along with the chassis.

④ Remove the chassis screws and pull out the outer magazine tube and left and right BB cases.

⑤ Remove the cap screw.
(This part was not available until the second batch of Tanegashima.)

⑥ Remove the rear set screw on the chassis to remove the piston guide and main spring.

⑦ Remove the two front screws on the chassis to separate the barrel and mechanism.

⑧ Bend the chassis 90 degrees like this and remove it from the cylinder lever.

9. Remove the set screws on the front and rear barrels.

10. Remove the hop screw and BB stopper assembly to separate the front and rear barrel sections.

⑪ Remove the piston and cylinder forward.

⑫If you remove this hollow screw on the front barrel, you can remove the inner barrel assembly to the rear.

⑬By removing this hollow screw, the inner barrel can be pulled forward out of the chamber.

14. The chamber packing and inner barrel. Replacing these requires almost complete disassembly of the barrel and mechanism. There is no need to replace the chamber packing unless you have overtightened the hop screw and damaged it. The inner barrel is also fine as long as it has not been bent under too much force.
